Description: As a child, I lived beside the sea. It always allowed me to find my pause button. It is very much part of me. I always seek out its company. I am mesmerised by it and how the light shines on it, how it changes colour, moves ebbs and flows and how it can change my humour and offer me solace.
In this painting, my daughter is resting in the pool thinking of her next move. on holidays she would stay in the pool all day long. This is called “On Pause” hopefully it will remind us to be mindful.
“Be the silent watcher of your thoughts and behaviour. You are beneath the thinker. You are the stillness beneath the mental noise. You are the love and joy beneath the pain.” – Eckhart Tolle.
