The title ‘In the name of the bees and the butterfly and the breeze.’ is taken from an Emily Bronte poem. I love the energy of these trees and how they provide life and shelter.
I love the apple trees that are so old and gnarled, but still, have such a beauty about them they reminded me of Van Gogh’s paintings of the trees in the Japonaiserie style and composition. I sat and painted here at the tree and felt the sea breeze on my face. You can see the sea in the distance and the red barn across the fields. But you can feel the history of the trees and their place in that timeline. the pink and blue sky continues here.
