Description: Arising comes from studying the work of Degas and how he was an admirer of Japanese prints. This influence can been seen in some of his compositions, he uses large areas of colour and space in his paintings with the figures off to one side oblivious of our attentive gaze. My focus here is to bring attention to the figure in the pool who has no interest in gaining our attention as she has her own interior world.
Sinéad Ní Chionaola is a contemporary Irish and international artist since 1991. Her paintings are inspired by her observation of the landscape and energy of nature.
